As I set my camera up on the tripod, my daughter Grace got to click the camera

for a few of these shots and she thought that was pretty cool!

She played the role of photographer and told us, "Ok guys, look here, smile!"

Aftyn comes from a rodeo King and Queen family. Her Daddy is a professional bull rider and her Mama gave up the rodeo ridin' after their children came along. As the fourth child, Aftyn is blessed to have three older siblings that love and care for her.

This is Gavin, the miniature Yoda from Star Wars. He was a happy baby and full of smiles! Check out those BIG blue eyes!

This couple is about to celebrate their 40th Anniversary and I just have to give them a big round of applause! Becky and Fred were so much fun to work with; they smiled and laughed and were themselves! It was a relaxed session with a couple who knows how to have fun!

Newborn, Joshua, 5 Days Old | Gillette, Wyoming Photographer

This precious little boy, Joshua, is the one I got to document coming into this world. At 5 days old we took his newborn pictures. (Between 5-10 days is the best time for newborn pictures.) He was just so precious and extremely easy to work with. He stayed asleep through the 2 hour session, which enabled us to get some great shots! Mama and Daddy have such great love for their little boy. Their emotion shines in the portraits.

The birth of Joshua was an emotional one. I got tears in my eyes as I watched that little one come into the world. It's just so amazing! There's nothing like giving birth.

Ashley started out the day by being induced. Dilation produced quickly. She was at a 4.5 and I walked out of the room for 5-10 minutes and when I came back she was at a 9!

This couple worked so well together. She was a champ when it came to pushing and her coach, Bobby, was great at cheering her on. It wasn't long and we all got to see the beautiful little boy, Joshua, being born.

It was such a great honor for me to be invited as Ashley's birth photographer for this very special event in their life. Thank you, Ashley and Bobby, for allowing me to share the birth of Joshua.
